Bus transport from Prague center to the chateau of
Liblice and back will be arranged by the organizers of the seminar.
- Bus to Liblice will leave at 5pm on Sunday, September 24 from
Malostranské náměstí in front of the faculty building (see below how to get there).
- The bus from Liblice to Prague will depart after breakfast around 9am on Thursday, September 28, so it should arrive to Prague around 10am.
- We are also able to arrange taxi from Liblice to the airport for
any time during the seminar although we are not able to cover its cost.
Transport from the Václav Havel Airport to the Faculty Building
Here is how to get to the building of
 Faculty of
Mathematics and Physics at Malostranské náměstí 25, Praha 1 (see map), from where the bus to
Liblice leaves on Sunday.
Public transport
You can search for
connections
herehttps://spojeni.dpp.cz/ConnForm.aspx?tt=PID&cl=E5,
and you can find further Prague public transportation information
herehttps://www.dpp.cz/en. (Bus stops at the airport are
Terminál 1 and Terminál 2, the tram stop near the faculty building is
called Malostranské náměstí.)
It should be enough to buy 1 transferable ticket valid for 90
minutes for
40Kč (~1.80$) for the whole journey.
Below, we describe a route to our faculty building in more details.
- Take the bus No. 119 from the
airport (its stops are in front of both terminals 1 and 2) to Nádraží Veleslavín
(it is the final stop for 119), this bus goes
relatively often.
- At Nádraží Veleslavín you can change to metro (=subway) line A
(the green one), which takes you to Malostranská (4 stops). It is only
one stop by tram from Malostranská to Malostranské náměstí (tram
numbers 12, 15, 20, 22, 23),
where the faculty building stands right across the parking
lot from the tram stop.
- Another possibility is to take tram 20 from Nádraží
Veleslavín directly to Malostranské náměstí (it is roughly the same time as
combination of metro+tram)
- You should
expect travel time around 40 minutes, although be warned that the
traffic at Evropská street which is used by 119 can be quite busy
during peak hours.
Taxi
It is of course possible to take a taxi from the
airport to anywhere in Prague. Have look at the information provided by the
airport for more details.
Transport from Prague center to the Václav Havel Airport
It is of course possible to use either taxi or public transport also
when going to the airport.
During the peak hours you should plan to go early enough to
have enough time to accommodate to possible traffic jam at Evropská
street (affects both taxi and bus).
For further information on how to get to and from the
Václav Havel Airport see the airport web page whose link we provide
below.
